CRYSTALYX® Garlyx

The summer season is a time for grazing the animals and also a time for the breeding of flying insects. Infestation of flies in cattle causes restlessness, nervousness and discomfort in the animals, which disturbs their welfare and reduces their productivity. In addition, flies and mosquitoes are carriers of many diseases, transmitting them by biting, from animal to animal (e.g. Schmalenberg virus or Bluetongue disease).

CRYSTALYX® Garlyx is an energy-rich lick food supplement that stimulates the natural defense against flying insects. The product contains garlic in its component composition, which has a strong repellent effect. By taking CRYSTALYX® Garlyx animals begin to emit a garlic smell and thus form a natural defense around themselves against flies and mosquitoes. As they break down, the sulfur-containing ingredients release an odor that is repulsive to insects. In addition, the ingredients of garlic are known to have antibacterial and anti-parasitic effects.

Building a barrier against insects is a side effect that is achieved by the product Garlyx, in addition to the main principle of active action of the CRYSTALYX® products, namely increasing the number and activity of microbes in the rumen, helping to digest raw fibers. As a result of the improved assimilation of crude fibers, the intake of roughage increases, on average by about 5-10 percent, the health condition improves and the productivity of the animals increases steadily. At the same time, the product supplies the animals with a wide range of the most essential trace elements, minerals and vitamins.

CRYSTALYX® contains a high proportion of dehydrated molasses (from which water has been extracted) and vegetable fats. As a result, we have a product rich in sugars and energy, which complements the low-sugar roughage. Based on the natural licking instinct, saliva production and salivation are stimulated, which stimulates the buffering effect in the rumen.
