BioCool® EXTRA HC

BioCool® EXTRA HC is a specially developed formula for producers of corn silage and whole grain silage. It is a biological supplement containing heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria. They improve the silage process by increasing lactic acid fermentation. At the same time, they improve the stability of the silage when exposed to air and form antifungal components, such as acetic acid, propylene glycol. This improves the aerobic (oxygen) stability of the silage. The spoilage of feed by yeasts and molds is prevented.
 

Area of application:

The biological preservative BioCool® EXTRA HC is recommended for the preparation of silage from:

• Corn (> 35% HC);

• Meadow grass (35 – 50% SV);

• Whole grains;

• Corn Cob Mix (wet corn).

• prevents secondary fermentation;

• inhibits yeast and mold growth

• maintains natural lactic acid fermentation

5 liters of water, stirring constantly. The solution thus made is applied 20 ml per ton, according to the tank of the spreading device. Unused solution can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. The processed silage is ready for use after about 4-6 weeks.

When using a biological silage additive, the application technique must be very good!

BioCool® EXTRA HC cannot compensate for poor quality of silage raw materials or errors in silage preparation (e.g. vegetation stage at harvest, poor tamping, poor sealing and etc.).

BioCool® EXTRA HC has been tested by the German Agricultural Society - DLG.


Storage:

Cool and dry place, without direct access to sunlight. For longer storage: 12 m in the refrigerator, 24 m in the freezer.
