In the heart of Bulgarian animal breeding - a day dedicated to traditions and the future

In the village of Mechkarevo, by the banks of the Tundzha River and at the foot of the Sliven Balkan, farmers, breeders and producers from all over Bulgaria gathered to celebrate "Day of the Bulgarian Producer" - a celebration of the native, of work and of faith in the land and animals. Every year, the Executive Agency for Selection and Reproduction in Livestock Breeding (IASRB) organizes the largest national event, which brings together the best in the sector - farmers, breeders and producers, to present the achievements of Bulgarian livestock breeding, new technologies and tastes that come directly from the native farm. 

Amidst a sea of tents, show rings and animal sounds, the HL-TopMix team was fortunate to be part of this big family – not only as an exhibitor, but as a partner and friend to farmers and their animals.

The day passed in smiles, conversations, meetings and stories - shared by people who know what it means to get up early, work on the farm and the pride when they see the result of the efforts they put in.

Elite animals were presented at the exhibition, some of which left with distinction - majestic cattle of the Aberdeen Angus, Hereford, Bulgarian brown cattle, Limousin breeds, buffaloes of the Bulgarian Murra breed, heavy draft and barn horses, even champion dogs of the Bulgarian Shepherd breed. Each animal stood by its owner, reflecting the care and attention given to it. As a sign of appreciation for this work, the HL-TopMix team presented its special award to the winner in our eyes - Farm "Murra-2002" OOD from the village of Lozenets, Yambolsko.

The celebration continued with a rich program of folklore performances, and the air was filled with the aroma of real food produced by local farmers - with care, love and tradition.
